ROBOTS, RECOVER AND REBOOT

The image and scene is drawn from a long ago memory 1967 or 68 , I was hitch hiking with a friend across Europe and after some time in France and Switzerland we pitched up in Genoa in Italy the very night the Sailors of The American Mediterranean  Fleet was given shore leave. After a night that both amazed and educated a 17 year old on his first time abroad we prepared to leave the city. The scene was carnage! drunk and sleeping sailors everywhere slumped back to back and instead of friendly robots caring for the fallen white helmeted MPs through the unconscious sailors unceremoniously onto the backs of trucks.
